Sri-Suka uvaca


bhagavat-purusai  rajan


yamyah   pratihatodyamah


patim  vijnapayam  asur


yamam  samyamani-patim.



Sri-Sukah  uvaca  =  Suka Maharishi   said;

bhagavat-purusaih  =  by the order carriers of the Lord, the Vishnudutas;

rajan  =  O King;

yamyah  =  the order carriers of Yamaraja;

pratihata-udyamah  =  whose efforts were defeated;

patim  =  their master;

vijnapayam asuh  =  informed;

yamam  =  Yamarāja;

samyamani-patim  =  the master of the city Samyamani.



Sri Suka Maharishi replied  to  King  Parikshit :  "King, when the order carriers of Yamaraja were baffled and defeated by the order carriers of Vishnu, they approached their master, the controller of Samyamani-puri and master of sinful persons, to tell him of this incident.
